Ingredients

  • ½ bag frozen peas (≈6 oz / 170 g)
  • 4 oz smoked kielbasa/sausage (Sprouts pork & beef kielbasa used)
  • 210 g low-fat cottage cheese
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Ranch seasoning, a light dusting (optional)

Step-by-step

Step 1 - Cook the peas

Microwave the frozen peas in a microwave-safe bowl or meal-prep container for ~4 minutes until hot. Season with salt, pepper, and a light dusting of ranch mix.

Step 2 - Crisp the sausage

Air fryer: 390°F (200°C) for 6-8 minutes, shaking once, until edges are crispy.
Oven: 425°F (220°C) for 10-12 minutes, turning once. Slice if desired.

Step 3 - Assemble

Add 210 g cottage cheese to a bowl. Top with the hot peas and crisp sausage. Finish with a pinch of pepper (and a touch more ranch mix if you like).

Substitutions & tips

  • Protein swap: Chicken sausage or turkey kielbasa works.
  • Veg swap: Mixed veg or green beans in place of peas.
  • Extra zing: A dash of hot sauce or pickle/jalapeño brine over the cottage cheese.

Ingredients

  • 113 g smoked kielbasa/sausage (Sprouts pork & beef kielbasa) 4 oz
  • 170 g frozen peas 6 oz
  • 210 g low-fat cottage cheese
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Ranch seasoning a light dusting on the peas & cottage cheese (optional)

Instructions

  • Cook sliced sausage until crisped: air fryer 390°F (200°C) 6-8 min (shake once) or oven 425°F (220°C) 10-12 min (turn once). Slice if desired.
  • Microwave peas 4 minutes until hot; season with salt, pepper, and a light dusting of ranch mix.
  • Add cottage cheese to a bowl. Top with hot peas and crisp sausage. Finish with pepper (and a touch more ranch, optional). Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Sprouts pork & beef kielbasa has solid macros for this bowl; air-frying gives great crispy edges.
  • Keep it simple, or add hot sauce/pickle brine for extra zing.
  • Swap peas for another quick-cooking veg if you prefer.
  • I eat this with cold cottage cheese because I love hot and cold meals. But you can gently heat the cottage cheese up in the microwave!
